I have been training all through the Spring and Autumn months wearing the Queen of the Mountains base layer and Gilet. I even run in the base layer I love it so much.
Why I love it? Well I trust it. It performs when I need it to and I can't be wearing kit I don't 100% believe in. This base layer works - it keeps me dry during my hardest training sessions. I know it will work.
The fabric is soft, perfect to wear directly against my skin and it keeps me dry. It also pairs beautifully with sports bras, the seams are in the right place and the mesh looks great over a bright crop top underneath.
When it comes to the Gilet, when the weather is looking grim, I never leave the house without it. It packs down into it's own back pocket and folds neatly into my rear jersey pocket. It's wind proof, water repellant and visible, as it’s white in colour - another great piece of kit from Queen of the Mountains.
I have secretly been testing out a few new products from Queen of the Mountains...this is the rain cape (in picture). It is one of the lightest, silkiest fabrics I have ever set my hands upon. It's water proof and packs down to the size of a credit card! Unbelievable really. I've also been testing out a new time trial and CX suit, as well as a new merino base layer. Watch this space for a few new gems coming from Queen of the Mountains.
